Galgo Solace is playful and bouncy outside in the yard and is generally quiet and relaxed indoors; he loves to be petted and talked to though and gets excited when his humans enter the room. He was very friendly and social with us immediately upon arrival, and likes to try to get all the attention he can. 🙂 Solace is about 4 years old, between 50 and 60 pounds. He is what is known as a “fuzzy” galgo, meaning he has some wirey, longer hair rather than the plain short coat of an American greyhound. Currently his coat is wirey on top and on his face but not very long; it may become long depending on the environment. No promises though! Solace has the longest tail we have ever seen and he has a very definite case of Happy Tail! He was cat tested in Spain and tested fine but we have not tested him here yet. He was also tested fine with male and female dogs. Solace is super cute and very smart. He seems to learn quickly; he learned “wait/stop” and “bed” on the first day and we believe he learned “come” and his name by day two though you know how sighthounds are with recall. 🙂 If you want a happy, bouncy hound who is full of joy and love, this may be your hound. Update: Solace now also knows “up” (two feet) and “up up”/all the way (as in climb up on things such as the couch), “look,” “down” (as in lie down), and “sh”/quiet. Solace’s estimated birth year is 2012.
