GIVE A GUY HIS GOLDEN YEARS WHILE HE STILL HAS SOME! Bibi, aka Habib, Sweet, mild-mannered, purebred feathered Saluki was surrendered by his owner and since he is a senior, he needs a new home asap so that he can enjoy the rest of his golden years in the arms of his Rest-of-His-Life person. He passed our indoor cat test just fine but we do not make any guarantees since conditions can change outcomes. He also has been fine with our dogs, but again, no guarantees across the board. To ensure compatibility, all others in the new home will need meet to assess compatibility before a placement is finalized. Although Habib’s previous owner says he had recently developed a food bowl reactivity with some of the other dogs in the house, clarifying that this reactivity is only regarding his food bowl at meals, NOT a problem with treats etc nor with toys, and that it was soft mouth only–he had not caused any skin breaks, nor had he shown any aggression to humans–we have not seen any food reactivity here; in fact the other dog we treat him together with in the yard tends to get a bit more in Habib’s space for treats and Habib has not reacted. (Nevertheless, always feed separately.) The surrendering owner felt that the activity level of her multi special needs dog household may have had something to do with this new behavior. Habib is used to having a dog door and insists on having in and out privileges. We do not normally condone dog doors but will make an exception in his case so long as there is direct supervision when in use. Habib can be placed between Northern California and Washington state.
